Sonoff Mini

The Sonoff Mini, by far my least favorite of the offerings from sonoff.

As many home automaters, I love sonoff products. They are inexpensive, and easy to tinker with. Well at least usually they are. Not so much with the sonoff mini. While it is possible solder on jumpers to get thee flashed with tasmota, it isn’t terribly easy, as the terminals are very small, not grouped together and generally annoying to work with.

Why oh why would they add the ridiculous external antenna? I’m assuming to get better wifi reception, but honestly even with the external antenna, the reception is marginal at best, plus as this is intended to be mounted in a wall switch box, do I really want an antenna floating around in there? Overall while it does work, your far better off going with a shelly instead.
